# Colours

# Colours

The **Colours** tab holds the brand’s named palette. Swatches feed brand guidelines and are available when you style buttons and other brand-aware surfaces in Brandblox.

Use Colours when you are reviewing an [Add from URL](/brands/add-from-url) draft, locking primary/secondary/supporting colours, or updating hex values after a rebrand.

## Add and manage swatches

* Add named swatches (solid fills with hex). Typical kit: Primary, Secondary, plus supporting colours.
* Cards show name, HEX, and RGB / CMYK readouts for solids; gradient fills show type when used.
* Reorder and rename as needed. Use **⋯** to edit or delete.
* Hex values influence button defaults and list previews — keep primary colours accurate.

## Review tips

* URL onboarding may seed colours from the homepage — always review contrast for accessibility and brand fidelity.
* Prefer clear names your team already uses (“Primary”, “Accent”) over opaque labels.
* Pair Colours with [Fonts](/brands/fonts) and [Buttons](/brands/buttons) so CTAs and type stay consistent with the palette.
