# Guidelines

> Read-only living brand guidelines page and share link

# Guidelines

Every brand has a **Guidelines** page — a fixed Brandblox template filled from the brand editor (colours, type, logos, voice, and guideline-flagged assets). The guide is **read-only**; edit the kit in the brand editor tabs, then open Guidelines to review or share.

## Open guidelines

1. Open a brand from **Brands**.
2. Click **Guidelines** in the editor header. Guidelines opens as a **standalone page** — no sidebar or trial banner — with the brand favicon, **{Brand} Brand Guidelines** title, **Download**, and **Share**. You can also open `/brands/{id}/guidelines` directly.

The page is one long scrolling document with a full-height outline rail pinned to the left edge (Overview → Logos → Colour → Buttons → Fonts → Typography → Voice → Imagery). Empty sections are hidden. Outline items and `#colour`-style hashes deep-link into sections. Public `/g/{token}` links use the same chrome with **Download** only (no Share).

## Download or print

Use **Download** to open your browser’s print dialog. The print layout hides the outline rail, Share/Download controls, and edit links so partners can **Print** or **Save as PDF** with the full read-only guidelines content (all visible sections for that brand).

## Share

Use **Share** on the guidelines page to:

* Enable a public link (`/g/{token}`) — no login required
* Optionally set a password gate for visitors
* Copy the URL for partners or agencies

Organisation members can always open the authenticated Guidelines view without the share link. Both the authenticated standalone screen and public `/g/{token}` viewers never see the main app sidebar or trial banner.

## What populates each section

| Imagery | Other assets flagged **Include in brand guidelines** (non-logos) — see [Assets](/brands/assets) |

Free and trial organisations see a **Powered by Brandblox** mark at the bottom of the guidelines sidebar. Paying customers do not.
