# Typography

> Named type styles on the Typography tab

# Typography

The **Typography** tab defines named text styles — for example Heading 1, Body, Caption — so the brand’s type scale is applied consistently. There are ten default styles, and you can add more when the brand needs them.

Use Typography when designers or writers need a shared scale, or when you are preparing the kit for future email and content tooling that reads these styles.

## Style attributes

For each named style you can set:

* Family (from [brand fonts](/brands/fonts))
* Size, weight, line-height, and related attributes as shown in the UI
* Tag / role (how the style is labelled in the kit)

Add, edit, **clone**, or remove styles with the controls and overflow menus on the tab.

## Tips

* Add fonts on the Fonts tab before assigning families here.
* Name styles the way your team already briefs work (“H1”, “Body”, “Caption”) so the kit matches real deliverables.
* Typography is separate from [Buttons](/brands/buttons) — CTA look and feel lives on the Buttons tab.
